ROULETTE
A U.S. roulette wheel consists of 38 numbered slots: numbers 1 to 36, a zero,
and a double zero. The betting layout consists of every individual number as
well as a host of "outside" or combinations of numbers. After the players make
their bets the dealer spins the wheel and a ball and after several seconds the
ball will land in one of the numbered slots.
CRAPS Back To Top
Critical to the understanding of craps is that it is a game of rounds. The
first roll in a round is called the come out roll. Sometimes the outcome of a
round will be determined on the come out roll. In particular a 2, 3, 7, 11, or
12 on the come out roll immediately ends a round. If any other total is rolled
(4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) that number is called the point. The dealer will place
a white puck on an
area of the table to designate what the point is, in case
you forget. If a point is rolled the dice will be rolled continuously until
the same point is rolled again or a 7.

STUD
POKER Back To Top
First, place a wager, this is called the ante.
Second, each player and the dealer is dealt their own five card hand. One of
the dealer's cards is face up the other four are face down.
Third, decide to stay in or fold. If you fold you forfeit your ante. If you
stay in you must add to your bet double the amount of the ante.
Fourth (assuming the player is still in), the dealer looks at his/her cards.
If the dealer does not have at least an ace/king then the player automatically
wins even money on the ante and the additional wager is returned. If the
dealer does have at least ace/king then a comparison is made between the
player's hand and the dealer's hand. If the player has the higher hand he/she
wins even money on the ante. If the dealer's hand beats the player's hand he
loses both the ante and raise.

BLACK JACK Back To Top
The highest hand in blackjack is an ace and any 10-point card and is called a
blackjack. A winning blackjack pays 2:1. If both player and dealer have a
blackjack the bet is a push. Aside from a blackjack a winning hand pays even
money. The player wins if his hand has more points than the dealer, without
going over 21. Thus a 21-point hand is the highest and is why the game is
sometimes called 21. If either the player or dealer go over 21 it is called a
break or bust and automatically loses. If the player and dealer tie the bet is
a push.
LET
IT RIDE Back To Top
Play starts with each player makes three bets of equal size. Then the dealer
gives every player three cards and two community cards are placed face down.
After seeing their first three cards every player has the choice to take one
of their three bets back or to "let it ride" and leave it out. Then the dealer
turns over one of the two community cards. Then each player has the option to
pull out another bet or "let it ride." The player may leave their bet in or
take it out the second time regardless of their first decision. Finally the
second community card is flipped and the players are paid.
RED DOG Back To Top
All cards are ranked as in poker, the suit is irrelevant, and aces are always
high. First the player places a wager. Then the dealer places two cards on the
table face up. If the two cards are consecutive then the hand is a push. If
the two cards are equal a third card is dealt, a matching third card pays
11:1, otherwise the hand is a push.
MONEY WHEEL Back To Top
Otherwise known as The 'Wheel of Fortune' this game is played on a large
vertical wheel. There are inlaid dollar bills of various denominations. The
player bets on which denomination the indicator will stop on.
MINI BACCARAT Back To Top
The deal will rotate around the table, much like the dice rotate around the
craps table. If a player does not want to deal they may pass the shoe to the
next player. The same person will keep dealing as long as the banker keeps
winning. The person dealing will put two cards, face down, tucked under the
shoe, and give the player with the greatest bet on the player the other two
cards, face down. This player then looks at the cards and then gives them back
to the player who is dealing. Then the player who is dealing will turn over
the cards and one of the casino dealers will announce the totals. Depending on
the totals the dealer may then instruct the person dealing the cards to deal a
third card. Finally the dealers will pay winning wagers and collect losing
ones out of the dealer's tray.
